Had to laugh watching Candice pull little bits and pieces out of the box with Transformer planes. Having found everything from pins, razer blades and syringe needles in such boxes, I now tend to take a lid, like the top of a copy paper box and dump the contents out, into the lid. That way, no matter what comes out (lint, dirt, dead insects, coins, Lego bits, etc) it’s contained in the box lid and little pieces don’t get lost or fall behind the bench. The size of the box lid also makes it easy to push around the bits to see what is there. I also use such lids to do the initial sort, putting each type item (small cars, Transformers, etc) in its own box and they stay there grouped up until it’s time to clean and photograph. It’s also easier to shift off and stack box lids, if/when I need to clear the bench mid-task, to do something else. I use the same technique for sorting estate jewelry boxes, junk drawer lots or bags of label/hat pins (like your Walmart pin). 😉

The steak and potato plates sort of remind me of the 1970s Ponderosa Steakhouse plates.

I respectfully disagree with polishing copper or brass. A lot depends on the item, but vintage items should not be polished - you erase the history and limit your market. If someone prefers it polished, they can do it themselves.

Please don’t polish it. There’s no identifying it as original instead of a fake foreign make. It makes the price nosedive.

I never polish vintage/antique items and state that clearly in my description. Patina is strictly up to the buyer. Many folks buy vintage/antiques because it looks old. Blessings

A really big hint on BSA Patches ... ROUND patches (in general) are called "rounders" in slang, because they are made for essentially every event and given away to everyone that attended the event (sometimes in multiples). The "valuable" patches are Council Strips (they almost look like a rectangle, but the top is arched) and OA (Order of the Arrow) Pocket Flaps that are almost triangular and fit on the top of the front left pocket. Philmont is always a solid patch to have, but they are fairly common, and the design and size of the patch has been consistent for DECADES. The "best" BSA patches are for merit badges that no longer exist and they are around the size of a quarter, and the best way I would say to find them is to look for sashes. All of that said ... this is if you are marketing to Boy Scouts ... if you market them to "general public" or "alternative culture" people, instead of highlighting the actual patch theme (jamboree, pow-wow, day camp, recruiting award, etc.) I would say to highlight what the picture on the patch is (rattlesnake, tipi, arrowhead, canoe, etc.) and then you can ask whatever you choose, because there is less of a frame of reference (they are just buying a 'pretty' patch).

I bought a little over 250 air force patches from an auction for $32. I put them all on eBay for $10 + $2 shipping. They have been selling like crazy. The best part is that you can list them so fast. I make a draft with the computer and then used the ebay app to take a picture with my phone.

Eventually, bending ROMEX will indeed weaken it and then continuing to bend it will cause the copper wire inside to break. How much bending it can take really depends on the gauge (size) of the copper itself. 😉

My primary job is caregiving and I messed up my right shoulder (torn rotator cuff) while picking up an old lady with dementia off the floor who had fallen. PT and cortisone shots have been life savers for me.

I fractured my left shoulder in two places. Healed up quite well and had no issues. My right shoulder started acting up and had an x-ray taken, and they found a bone hook that tore part of the rotator cuff. Now, after weeks of physical therapy, the shoulder feels great. Take care of that shoulder, Lonnie. If you let it linger, it can get worse. I just don't want you to get any pain. Candice is the best.
